The Magic Castle is a rare and beautiful example of classic Hollywood culture, which has survived unscathed into modern times. Its exclusive and now historic qualities help to preserve an aspect of American society that has largely been lost to the sands of time. It's almost a museum in the way that it preserves the memory of magicians long past. This is one of the unique things that exist in our country and should definitely be on the bucket list of anyone who is looking for something that cannot be found anywhere else. Do whatever you can to experience this place. You will not be disappointed. Five stars without reservation.

You have to invited by a friend, member or magician to come! I've been lucky enough to attend 2 different times, both for dinner. You're given tickets to one show at dinner, and then you're free to roam around and check in on different rooms and find different shows. The magic is phenomenal, you immediately are transported in to another world when you step inside. I love the charm and old Hollywood feel you get. Be sure to adhere to the dress code and dress well! You can take photos inside, but you can outside on their red carpet. Dinner was good, I had a chicken and a pasta dish on my visits. I enjoyed the meal (it is costly, but it's an experience) there is an initial fee to enter as well. I don't recall when I paid for the valet parking. Overall something everyone in La should do! Families are welcome on Sundays for brunch - otherwise it's adults only. Drinks are strong and delicious, I would suggest getting a drink downstairs when you walk in! One of the coolest places I've been in LA.

I never heard of the Magic Castle until I watched this Netflix Show "Love" and didn't know it was invite by members only. I was lucky enough to be invited a couple of times by a magician who was a member at the castle. The Magic Castle is located in Hollywood where you drive up a little hill to get to the castle. The parking is valet only. There is a strict dress code where the men have to be in a suit and tie. If you do not have a tie, you can purchase at their store. The suit jacket must be kept on at all times for the guys. The women's dress code is evening wear. Be sure to take out your ID while you wait in line. There is also the iconic Magic Castle Wall where people take photos. Please Note: You are not allow to take any photographs/video in the castle. The entrance/lobby is the only place where you can take a group photo. The décor of the castle is filled with history of different magicians/antiques and there are some "magic" inside the castle. There are multiple floors at the castle and several bars where you can buy drinks/order food. There is only one dining room where you need to make a reservation to eat. There are several rooms where magicians perform magic for the guests. I was able to watch a couple of shows at the Magic Castle and I was always left amazed & surprised at every tricks. Foods that I've tried at the bar: Pub Burger 5/5: Surprisingly pretty big and sharable. The burger is cooked to perfection and very juicy. Crispy Eggplant with Spicy Tuna 5/5 : My favorite appetizer, who would have thought that eggplant and spicy tuna would go so well together. Parmesan Truffle fries 5/5: Can't go wrong with Parmesan, Truffle and fries, so good. Banana Cream Pie 5/5: What makes this banana cream pie unique from other banana cream pies is that the crust is made from Nutter Butter. This is a must try. The Magic Castle is an unique and magical experience that I will never forget. It's always a fun time at the Castle. Overall, a must visit place if you are able to get an invitation.

I came say this enough but this is the most magical place EVER. Every room is filled with close up performance of all types of different magical experiences. Each magician or performance leaves you in awe and wondering what just happened right before your eyes! I love love this place. David Deeble was hilarious with his performance at the main room. Nick's performance was mind blowing. The dinner entree now is even before. Just an overall magical experience.

My husband and I took our family to the Magic Castle for brunch about a week ago, and it was an INCREDIBLE experience! I was a little reluctant to go for brunch, as I had only ever been during the evening and heard from our member friend that the experience was very different. To our surprise, it was just as good! We were greeted at the door by a young magician named Jacob, who showed us some incredible tricks and invited us to watch his first show of the day after, and I have to say it was our group's favorite show of the day! The close-up show was our favorite, but the stage show was also very entertaining, and the brunch was delicious, with great hospitality from the servers. I look forward to visiting the castle with my family for brunch more often!

This is a member's only venue and the only way to get in is either a member takes you or invites you. So make some friends magically appear!! My wife's friend is married to a horror film director and we were in Los Angeles for a lay over from Miami to Tokyo. We decided to have dinner with them and to our surprise they invited us here! What a treat and total LA experience! First there is a dress code. How refreshing! Men must wear suits and women appropriate attire. We did see one couple get turned away which was good. When you dress the part you act differently. You go inside and other than the small lobby, pictures are forbidden, giving a total Eyes Wide Shut vibe. We went to the bar to get some cocktails: amazing drinks! We then sat down and had an amazing dinner. I had the salmon and the other members had the filet mignon. Really a treat in the food category. Service was great. And then the show! I was expecting some corny magic tricks. No way. Full stop. This is not your nephew's ten year old birthday party. This are illusionists practitioners of the ancient arts that have confounded man since the Middle Ages. These alchemists turn corny into gem quality entertainment. Wow what a show. I was genuinely at the edge of my seat. We then exited and went to another bar and where the party sat down to additional tricks at tables. Again magical. My only ding and why not a five star review is the bars were meagerly staffed and getting a drink was nigh impossible. I waited what seemed like an eternity to get the two drinks that were served to me. But I won't let this spoil what was a "magical" evening in LA.

This was our 5th time to visit, and we were just as impressed as our first time. All the shows, whether they were at the Peller Theater or the Palace or in the area where they perform close up magic - blew our minds. The magicians aren't corny, and the acts are different each time we go. The check-in process is quick. Just have your ID ready and dress to the nines. I've seen people turned away because they didn't comply with the dress code. Dress as if you're going to a wedding because it's quite a privilege to be invited to the Castle. They have a new chef so the food has gotten better (and more expensive). The beef Wellington is still my go-to, but the 8oz filet Mignon was juicy and huge. The brussel sprouts salad was divine - it has nuts, cheese and bacon all over. I also suggest getting the spicy tuna on crispy eggplant appetizer - not sure what wizardry they performed on the eggplant but it is served dry and super crispy - the perfect vessel for all that spicy tuna. This was probably my favorite dish of the evening. If you have guests from out of town, schedule something with a Member and bring them to the Castle for an unforgettable evening. It'll blow them out of the water. You're sure to make lasting memories.

We are first timers!! My wife decided to surprise me yesterday 6/16/2024 for Fathers Day! What an amazing gift!! Like they say, DON'T stop dating your spouse! She is the definition of LOVE!! We went with two of our amazing friends! Now if you don't know, you either have to be an associate member or be invited by a club member. Our friends are club members, so we were extremely blessed to be able to attend. You drive up, yes its VALET ONLY! Please make sure you bring enough cash to tip the valet and inside the club! They also have VENMO now, so it makes it so much sweeter for us who don't carry cash! The VENMO i mean is for the magic tricks inside and bartenders!! You walk in, pay the entrance fee of $35.00 and the valet which was I think $15.00-$20.00. This day they had a gift for all fathers who were coming in. You just had to stop by and grab it on your way out! Now here comes the good part! We walked in after the magic words and IT WAS A SIGHT TO SEE!! We walked straight inside to the bar, we sat with IRMA and she was extremely present! All our song request were met! We met Georgia first before any shows and I must admit, it was freaken awesome!! Do not skip on her, you will want to see her tricks... They are super fun and she is overall a great person!! Thank you for the pin!! Mike Pisciotta - You were the man! My wife cannot get over being at the front of the bar and watching the full experience... She is still in awe of everything you showed up with... Man that was insane!! Danny Magic - You don't skip a beat with your tricks! We stood at the far end and you could easily hear and see what you had up your sleeve! I will say I was super impressed with the safe!! That was mind blowing!! Nathan Marsh - You niece is your entire world! Everything you showed us and how you spoke of her, made the show that much more interesting. I wished Adele would of just popped out for real LOL.... #wishfulthinking MAIN SHOW AFTER DINNER!! We got to see these two awesome men!! I loved every minute of this show... It was not boring, it was entertaining and mostly engaging with us audience members. THE PALACE OF MYSTERY WAS LEGIT BY FAR THE BEST SHOW!! Both gentleman were awesome and made sure we all felt seen or heard. What I enjoyed the most was it portrayed real life on top of magic skills. I loved all the personalities and just everything about them both! These two guys are such a pair!! IT IS A MUST SEE!!! TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! The bar, YES DRINKS ARE EXPENSIVE!! But is it worth it, for me, YES IT IS!!! Drinking makes everything more enhanced and much more enjoyable when your a "FUN" drunk, LOL!! If you know you are going to an EXCLUSIVE MEMBER ONLY PLACE - KNOW THIS === YOU WILL BE PAYING MORE MONEY!! ITS LIKE THE GOLDEN SECRET RULE!! COMMON SENSE!! The Food, we got the following: Wellington Beef (x3) Sea Bass (x1) French Fries (x2) All were 10/10!! The French fries were cooked perfect... Crunchy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside... Don't skip on that appetizer! My wife also had a glass of Moscato and she said it was 9/10... She said she wished it was stronger LOL...hahahahah! Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating... Service is quick and the food comes out even quicker! ALL THE SHOWS WERE MAGICAL!! THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE, AND IF YOU CAN'T FIND IT, YOU SURE CAN FIND A BAR AT EVERY TURN HAHAHAHAHA... SERIOUSLY!! I cannot wait to go back!! It was be seriously worth it all!!

Magic is in the air AND every where at the Magic Castle! I was fortunate to be invited to my friends birthday celebration. Due to busy schedules, we finally got a confirmation for an 8pm dinner. It has been 10 years since I had been here and I was so excited and looking forward to this for weeks! THE DETAILS: They run a tight ship and have guidelines on attire and gaining entrance to the shows. An email will be sent with the particulars, pay attention and all will flow smoothly, as it did for us. Be on time and prepared to have fun. A lovely water fountain is by the entrance and a backdrop for taking photos. You may also take photos in the lobby and gift shop only. Photography is prohibited once you say the Magic word and enter the secret door behind the bookcase.... ready, let's go inside! This is a members-only mansion with several floors and rooms. The atmosphere and ambiance is pure fun! I felt that the receptionist was friendly and made small talk, despite having to explain the prices for members vs guests of members. A special "black" card will get your admission fee waived. I observed her repeating this over and over with each group in line (with a smile, no matter how many times she said it). DRINKS & DINNER: The bartender was a riot and comedian in his own right. He made a passion fruit cocktail with a floating orchid, it was called a Porn Star, we quickly ordered two!! I'm gonna say, my barstool had a small vibration and slowly lowered itself and I found myself 6" to 8" closer to the ground. It was so subtle that I began to doubt myself and blamed it on the Porn Star that came with a shot of champagne to top off my drink after every sip. We walked around a bit on the first level, enjoying the music, decor and antique furnishings and lamps. As the 8 o'clock hour approached, we walked upstairs to the dining room. The hostess showed us to our table for four. Our server was Rick, but he let me call him Cousin Ricky. He wore his name badge upside-down so he could see and read his own name!! We ordered dinner salads to start, Steak, Seabass and Beef Wellington, and asparagus and wine. Dinner tab averaged $100 per person. An entree must be purchased or a charge will be added to your credit card and no soup for you (or ticket to the Main stage for the 10pm performance). PARKING: Valet parking ($30 pay in the lobby, credit cards accepted). This was a considerable increase, bring cash to tip the staff when picking up your car it is not included in the $30 fee). NOTE: They do serve brunch on the weekends only.
